Unit/modular origamis - the example of the Sonobe

This DIY allows you to create shapes using modular origami.

Modular origami is, like classical origami, a shape created without cutting or gluing, by simply folding a paper, usually square.

However, modular origami is made up of a series of folded origami, all identical, which form 'bricks' that, combined together (without glue), allow you to create 3D shapes.

The first modular origami to be discovered was named Sonobe after its Japanese inventor.

All Japanese children know how to fold the Sonobe and can build a ball using 30 modules. Why not you?
