Step 1Create a small peak by passing a chopstick under the fabric.
About 1 cm from the top, tightly tie a rubber band around it.
Then remove the chopstick.

Step 2Repeat this several times to create a lot of 'points'.
The more you do it, the more spectacular the result will be!

Step 4Pour half a litre of water into a saucepan and add two tablespoons of spices.
Bring the mixture to a boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool a bit.

Step 5Wring out the cloth and dip it into the pot.
Bring to a boil then simmer for 30 minutes.
Remove the pot from the heat and let the cloth sit in it overnight.

Step 6Bring the fabric out of the pot and remove the rubber bands.
Rinse and squeeze out the fabric before hanging it to dry.
