How to use - Solar food dehydrator

  • Cut fruits or vegetables into very thin slices and place them on the grill (avoid meat!). Close the rear door tightly. Do not open it again during the drying process to avoid any heat loss.

Direct the oven so that the glass is perpendicular to the sun. Redirect the dryer from time to time. Check the temperature in the drying room with the thermometer behind the chimney.

The ideal drying temperature is between 30°C and 45°C.

Do not exceed 50°C, otherwise the food may cook.

To adjust the temperature and air flow, the chimney can be closed/opened with the disc.

In bright sunlight, drying takes about 4-5 hours. If there is not enough sun, continue drying the following day.
